Top 3 Vegan Hacks

The old, tired complaint about going vegan is that it’s just soooooo hard. Chess is hard. Folding fitted sheets is hard. Remembering what you were looking for when you entered a room is hard.

Going vegan is not. Not to mention you’re doing your part to make the world incrementally better, bite by bite.

That aside, there is a transition and with some planning, it’ll feel easy peasy.

1

Meal Prep Ahead

This one is actually increasingly common and helpful for all people, not just those switching to veganism.

Why? Convenience and control. You guarantee yourself that you’re not in a bind for a meal and save valuable time during the week to practice chess…or, you know, stay productive at work I guess.

So set aside a day and knock out the week’s meals. Oh, and don’t forget, vegan freezer meals are a delightful thing. Use them.

2

Get Your Vitamins

Another hack that is important for all food eater’s aka people in general. Vitamins are vital and making sure you have a good one on deck is crucial.

Eating vegan, just like any other way of eating, doesn’t guarantee a well-balanced and healthy diet.

Vegan food can come loaded with sodium and lacking in certain nutritional areas. All diets need tweaking and adding a multivitamin to the mix means you’re getting the essentials you deserve.

3

Always Talk to The Restaurant

Do restaurants seem tough and daunting? A wee bit nerve-wracking because you’re gonna be that guy or girl? Poppycock, get that attitude outta here. You’re paying for a good meal and you deserve it.

Lots of restaurants are up on veganism these days and there are plenty of people of differing diet
persuasions who make requests other than you. So ask for your vegan menu or your question confidently (but nicely!).

Chat with your server and clear up any confusion on items to make sure all is copasetic so you can enjoy your meal with some peace of mind.
