Pizza and pasta are definitely not things you’ll have to miss out on as a vegan. We know what you’re thinking though, what about the cheese?!

It’s not tough to have either without cheese and some absolute classics like spaghetti aglio e olio and pizza alla marinara are vegan from the get-go, no replacement of any ingredients necessary. Nice.

You can create a sauce from cashews, beans, potatoes and more that’s both tasty and healthy. Even alfredo!

Non-creamy Pasta

Your tomato-based options are a no-brainer here and pesto can easily be made with nutritional yeast instead of parmesan.

You can even whip some meatballs with plant-based ground meat. HUGE.

About Pizza

Pizza dough is already a vegan thing, so you’re good there but sometimes ya just wanna cheese, we get it. It happens to us too.

From New York to Napoli, cheese on a pie is par for the pizza course. Fortunately, these days there are plenty of melty vegan cheeses to accompany those veggies.

Just pass on the pineapple please.
P.S. Or, at least be careful to whom you admit the use of pineapples on pizza. The debate on this harmless seeming topic can ruin relationships.
