TOP 3 TIPS FOR A PERFECT CHARCUTERIE

Charcuterie, easier to say than Worcestershire but not necessarily a breeze nonetheless, is all about striking the right balance with ingredients.

Hitting all the flavour notes; the salty, the sweet, the savoury and giving your guests the ability to create harmonious little bites.

Once you’ve chosen the perfect, trendy hunk of wood to serve it on and pulled together some little bowls or ramekins, here’s how to nail the variety.

1

Fruit & Veg

Classic fruit choices are grapes and apples but don’t limit yourself…probably avoid watermelon though.

Don’t forget about the dry ones, like raisins, apricots, etc.
Veggies are an absolute must, that fresh crunch factor is always in and you can really go to town on these.

Obviously cook potatoes but much can be raw. Maybe throw in some roasted red peppers.

2

Dips

Crucial. While a variety of flavours are key so are a wide range of textures and dips tick both boxes.

Guacamole, hummus, salsa, jams and more, don’t skimp on the dip.

3

Carbs & Cheese

Crackers? Bread? Yes and yes. These are your dippers and other ingredient holders, please don’t charcuterie without them.

For cheese, load up the board with your favourite vegan options, from creamy to big blocks, you can find great choices these days.

Throw in some nuts, pickles and olives and job done.
